29 Weeks

I'm 29 weeks today and still feeling pretty good. I had a dr visit today and met my new OB Dr. Meyer. Jason and I really like him - he's very friendly and knowledgeable! My next visit with him will be in a month, April 28 (which is also our 2 yr anniversary). At the checkup today, my blood pressure was fine and the baby's heartbeat was 146 bpm. Everything continues to progress normally which is reassuring to know! Tomorrow afternoon I have my test for gestational diabetes so I have to consume an orange drink an hour before they take some blood for testing. Hopefully the test goes well - I'll post an update once I get the results which I think take a few days.

27 weeks - Start of 3rd Trimester

As the post states, I'm now in my third trimester... where has the time gone?!? In about three months we'll get to meet our little boy & we're so excited! I sure hope we can come up with a name for him by then!! These last few weeks I've been feeling good and still feeling the baby move around a lot (especially when I crawl in bed at night). I was having some back pain during the night but since I started working out again about a week ago, I'm sleeping much better!! It's good motivation for me to get back on my eliptical, plus it will help me lose the weight after our baby is born. Jason & I are going for a walk in our neighborhood after dinner tonight because it's so nice outside - a record high for today at 74 degrees!!!

We recently painted the nursery and put the furniture together so I thought I would share a few pictures. We still need to purchase a glider & ottoman and decorate the walls, but it's a start!

25 weeks - Doctor visit

Today was my monthly doctor visit and everything is going well with baby & me. She did another ultrasound at this visit because she couldn't get a clear picture of the heart at the 20 week U/S - she was able to see the heart clearly today and everything looks fine. She confirmed again that we are definitely having a boy! She also took some measurements to determine the baby's weight. She said that the baby is 2 lbs. now which puts him in the 90th percentile - big boy! :) She said that if I go full term then she estimates the baby will weigh 8 to 8 1/2 lbs. at birth. If I go a week overdue, she thinks the baby will be about 9 lbs. Let's hope that I have this baby by my June 16 due date!! Oh, and the heartbeat was 140 bpm today which she said is healthy.
