What's new with Braeden?

Sorry it's been a while since I last posted a message!! What's Braeden been doing these last two weeks: cooing more often, lots of drooling, really enjoys bathtime, smiling more frequently, more alert during the day, sleeps for a 5 hour stretch the last few nights, went to his first Brewers game on Sunday 7/26 (Braden Looper was pitching!), and has really been enjoying cuddling with his parents, extended family and friends.

The next 3 pictures are from Braeden's first Brewer's game. Braeden was awake for the 1st inning, but then fell asleep in the 2nd inning and wasasleep for the rest of the game! He didn't miss much because they lost.

All the cuddling made Braeden sleepy!

One Month Checkup

Braeden had his one month checkup today and he's doing very well. His head measures in the 50th percentile which is up from the 40th percentile when he was born. His length is now 23 1/2 inches which puts him in the 95th plus percentile (not sure where he got his height from!!). And we were both surprised by his weight as he's now 11 lbs & 10 oz so he's gained nearly 3 lbs since birth which puts him in the 50th percentile. Everything else looks good and our next visit will be in another month where he'll get his 2nd round of vaccinations.

Lastly, I wanted to share a couple funny pictures that I took of our cat Mollie. I went into the spare bedroom this afternoon and saw a lump in the comforter only to discover that Mollie was under the sheets napping!!!Have a good night!

Chippewa Falls trip & more...

We’ve been very busy the last few days! On Wednesday July 8, Braeden & I went on our first road trip with Grandma K to visit Auntie Jen & Uncle Jeremy in Chippewa Falls. Unfortunately Daddy was unable to come with us because he had to work. Grandpa Mislang was also there because he was selling his sausages & cheeses at the fair. This was the first time that Jen & Jeremy got to meet Braeden & we all had a great time! During the trip, Braeden attended his first fair & also listened to his first country concert – Eric Church. We also watched Jeremy play softball & they won 27 to 11!!! On Saturday afternoon we headed home and on the way back we stopped to visit with Great Grandpa & Grandma Oehler (my Mom’s parents) for the first time. They had a wonderful time cuddling with Braeden! And today we took Braeden to the Zoo & he slept for most of the trip.
