What a weekend! We had so much fun celebrating Braeden’s big day! On Saturday we had friends and family over for Braeden’s first birthday party! We had a blast & although Braeden only took one short nap in the morning, we could tell he had a good time! Then, for his actual birthday today, I took off work to spend all day with him. First we had his 1 year checkup this morning, and he’s now 23.5 lbs (52^nd percentile) and 31 in. (88^th percentile-not sure where he gets his height from!). He also got a few shots today, which I felt bad about him getting since it’s his birthday, but the good thing is that he forgot all about it about 10 seconds after he received his shots (gotta love their short-term memory!!). After that I stopped in at my work for a bit so my co-workers could see the special birthday boy. Then it was off to Chuck E. Cheese where we met up with Grandpa & Grandma Mislang. Oh my, we had so much fun there & I can’t wait to take him back! He went on some rides and even got to meet Chuck E. himself!!! Our last stop was to the mall and Braeden was so exhausted that he napped pretty much the whole time that we shopped. Tonight we had Derek & Sara over to finish the big weekend birthday celebration. There was some cake left over so Sara & I each had a piece for Braeden (he didn’t need any more because he had his fill on Saturday!). The weekend was a huge success and we’re looking forward to many more fun birthday celebrations with our “little man”!

Brace yourself, I’ve posted quite a few birthday pictures. I went kinda nuts taking pictures, but how many times does my baby turn 1!?! Only once of course, hence the play-by-play from the weekend events!
