Today I had my routine doctor appointment & everything is still going well. He said my blood pressure and weight are fine, the baby's heartbeat was 148 bpm & my belly is measuring at 33 weeks so I'm right on schedule. My next appointment is in 2 weeks. What shocked me at the appointment was when the nurse said to me "only 3 more weeks and you'll be considered full term!". Yikes, for some reason I thought 37 weeks was full term, but she corrected me and said it's actually 36 weeks. So anytime after May 19 I could have this baby! I'm hoping he waits until June at least, I think I'll feel more prepared by then :)
Besides the reassuring doctor visit this morning, Jason and I are also celebrating our 2 year anniversary today. He sent me a beautiful bouquet of roses to work today - he's very thoughtful & they are very much appreciated! Although the weather wasn't too bad today, I remember that it was sunny and mid-70s two years ago. Ah, the memories!
One last thing that happened today is that my work threw me and the three other pregnant ladies in my department (due dates are 6/3, 6/16, 7/14 & 9/9) a surprise baby shower. We enjoyed yummy cupcakes, & they got us each a boppy, mesh cooler & cute little onsies. When my boss said that I needed to go to the conference room for an URGENT meeting, I thought that I did something wrong. They did the same thing to me about 2 years ago when they threw me a surprise wedding shower. I'm so clueless when it comes to surprises!!
Have a good night!

Baby Shower in Burlington!
Yesterday afternoon I had my second baby shower in Burlington. Mom Molle & her BF Sue Nelson hosted the shower & we all had a great time. Thanks Mom & Sue for throwing us such a wonderful shower! I could tell that everyone was having fun with the games & the food was awesome. I think that I needed a bigger plate because I had to go for seconds - I'm eating for two you know!! LOL :)

Jason & I feel very fortunate for all the love and support that was shown yesterday, so thanks again for everything!!
Have a great night!

Surprise Shower from the Dinner Club!
So Jason & I "thought" we were going to a normal dinner club get together last night with the Burlington group... Well, it ended up that we were the last ones there (and we arrived 10 minutes early) & were completely surprised with a co-ed baby shower from the dinner club!! We had yummy lasagna & salad, followed by the funniest cake I have ever seen!!! The group bought us our crib bedding set, the hamper, the matching wall hangings, the plush throw & a onsie that says "Captain Adorable". The ladies were also crafty and decorated some cute white onsies for us! Once our little guy is born, I'll have to take some pictures of the baby in them & post them on the blog.
Enjoy some pictures from last night!

Thanks to the dinner club for a very surprising & memorable night!
Good night everyone :)

31 Weeks
Do you see a pattern yet?? For a while now, I've been posting every 2 weeks on Tuesday, which is the start of a new week for baby & me (he's due 9 weeks from today - Tuesday June 16). Thankfully the pregnancy has been progressing very well, so there isn't much for me to update on the blog and that's why I wait 2 weeks each time before posting another update. If you read my last post, you might remember that I had to drink the orange drink for the gestational diabetes test. I must have passed because that was about 2 weeks ago and they were only going to call me if the test showed anything abnormal - so that's great news!!
There's a weekly baby update that I read every Tuesday morning and you might be interested to know that our baby will be going through a growth spurt soon! I'll try to remember to post another belly pick in 2 weeks so we can see how much his growth spurt makes my belly expand! Hopefully not too much because I'm standing up in my best friend's wedding (hey, isn't that a movie - LOL!!) in 3 1/2 weeks and I need to fit into the bridesmaid dress!!
My next doctors appointment is on Tuesday, April 28 (also our 2 yr anniversary that day!) so I'll be sure to post another update then.

One last little note: For about the past week, I've noticed that our baby gets the hiccups regularly - at least once a day! Last week Thursday he actually had the hiccups three times - first at 8AM, then after lunch & one last time when I went to bed!! I really enjoy his hiccups, it reassures me that he's doing well :)

Here's a picture that was taken 2 days ago at church on Easter Sunday. From left to right - Jolene (my baby sister), Grandma Betty, Jason, me (baby in belly), Dad & Mom:
